The room was spacious and huge with central heating, an individual safe, and multi-channel TV.
Honestly no reason to complain. Loved the hotel, it was unique with excellent location close to the shinhotaka cable car station. Location very close to the mountains above Takayama, the restaurant, and a waterfall. 15 minutes walk to Fukuji Onsen. Excellent and affable staff and altogether an amazing experience.

The onsen was mind-blowing, with expansive indoor and outdoor options that were calm and tranquil. The karaoke train was super fun for post-dinner entertainment, and the traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner were jaw-droppingly tasty. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the views surrounding the hotel were stunning. The large mixed gender onsens were a unique and fantastic experience, and the hotel even catered a vegan meal for my husband. our stay was absolutely incredible and we loved every moment of it!

I had a wonderful stay at a beautiful hotel nestled in the middle of stunning mountains. The onsen was spacious and tranquil, providing the perfect place to unwind. The multi-course Japanese dinner and breakfast were both delicious and unique. The staff was attentive and made sure our room was always well taken care of. The private room we stayed in was spacious enough for our group of five. The hotel even had vending machines with noodles and beer, which was a great touch. I had a fantastic experience at this hotel and would highly recommend it.

This traditional Japanese hotel offers a calm and tranquil environment. Mixed onsens set in a beautiful remote location are a highlight. the dinner and breakfast, with traditional Japanese cuisine, are delicious.
One needs to be aware of the hotel's language barrier. Staff may not provide information without a Japanese speaker, leading to some confusion.

We had an amazing time at the hotel! The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We enjoyed various hotel facilities like the mixed onsens outside, saunas, winter illumination event, and gift shops. The view of the river and waterfall from the hotel was breathtaking. We appreciated the hotel's location being close to Kamikochi Valley and Shinhotaka Ropeway, and the availability of boots for snow exploration. The food was excellent, especially the locally sourced sturgeon, and the breakfast and dinner were at the robata. it was an unforgettable Japanese experience.
Nothing to be said.

The scenery was breathtakingly beautiful, with snow-covered trees and a river with a waterfall. The mixed onsen was fantastic, with multiple options for enjoying a hot mineral bath in the snow. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped with yukata and tea. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful, providing massage services in the room upon request. the hotel had excellent food at the robata and catered to guests' needs, with vegan options offered.
The hotel is quite isolated, so guests may need to be aware of limited transportation options - the bus from nearby locations runs every two hours and can be pricey. there were some technical issues with the WiFi in the room, with the modem requiring multiple resets to function properly.

The onsen was great and had a stunning view. The staff was friendly and helpful. Plus, the location was conveniently close to a bus stop which made it easy to explore nearby areas.
The rooms were outdated and uncomfortable. It was also difficult to communicate with staff who had limited English.
